Library Endowment Fund Needs New Board Members

NEW BOARD MEMBERS SOUGHT FOR NONPROFIT LIBRARY ENDOWMENT FUND
The Friends of the Allen Public Library Endowment Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is currently seeking individuals interested in becoming members of its Board of Managers. The Boardâ€™s mission is to help ensure the long-term financial strength of the Allen Public Library -- and its place as a cultural and educational asset to the residents of Allen -- by preserving, managing, and growing an endowment fund first established by the City in 2007.
Several current members of the Board are reaching the end of their term limits this coming October and replacements will need to be appointed by June. No prior board or other specialized experience is required. All that is required is an interest in serving the community and the ability to attend one meeting per quarter (four meetings annually), which typically occur on Wednesday evenings.
